Treasures of unique art are preserved today from the Byzantine era. Among them we can find works of Byzantine fretwork of unique art value which we inherited throughout the centuries.

With great love and devotion I decided to occupy myself with the woodcarving. My interest in woodcarving led me near wood-carvers in Mount Athos who taught me techniques which follow our Byzantine tradition faithfully.

The hand made Byzantine woodcuts are carved on a specific kind of wood so that the details of the patterns are emphasized. Moreover the wood is chosen according to its durability and resistance to rotting.

The photos on the website can’t give full particulars however you can distinguish the technique and the style of the works.

The works on the website are unique. You are able to choose the size of the woodcut and the theme which is going to be carved on it. Also I cooperate with silversmiths who can undertake the coating of the woodcut with silver.

It is recommended that customers should order in time as the woodcarvings are completely hand made thus it takes some time to prepare and deliver them.
